Tear Troughs

What Is An Under-Eye Tear Through Correction?

Tear Trough Correction (Under Eyes) uses hyaluronic acid (ha) filler injected into the orbital rim to reduce the appearance of dark circles below the eyes that a deep tear trough can cause. Tear Trough Correction also replenishes volume loss in the division between the lower eyelid and cheek, that can be an early sign of aging.

Clients often combine Chin Augmentation, Chin-u-Lite, or Kybella Double Chin with this treatment.

treatment alternatives

Tear Trough correction is not a one and done thing, and that’s because it is dependent on how severe the tear trough is. Some people have really severe tear troughs. In those cases, typically, what I recommend is doing one syringe per eye, having the patient come back in four months, and doing the follow-up, and seeing if they need more product to kind of fill and camouflage the area. And, at that point, that’s when I recommend they might need one more syringe, they might need two more syringes.

Another thing that helps with tear troughs is doing a cheek augmentation because it’s adding foundation here to help hold up the tear trough area. And, in some cases, some people have such severe tear troughs, and at this point, this is when I’ll tell the patient that there’s a lot of different options that they can go. But, if they want to completely erase that heavy protruded eye bag area, they will need a blepharoplasty treatment. And, what that is, is where they do a surgical stitch underneath the eye and they remove the fat pad out.
