We use Xeomin, Dysport, or Botox for our correcting treatments.
Xeomin is an injectable botulinum toxin used to smooth moderate to severe lines and wrinkles in the face. This non-invasive treatment is administered in small amounts, where it helps to relax the facial muscles responsible for brow furrows, smile lines and other deep-set wrinkles. Many people request Xeomin injections because they wish to regain a youthful appearance and soften facial contours that may have been altered due to the aging process, too much UV exposure or lifestyle factors like smoking. Xeomin is often referred to as the “naked” botulinum toxin because it lacks additives. In fact, it is this lack of additives that reduces the likelihood of the body rejecting treatments and developing an adverse reaction.
Dysport is a non-surgical, injectable treatment used to smooth and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is made of Botulinum toxin Type A, which works by temporarily relaxing the muscles beneath the face. Dysport injections are effective for treating furrows, creases and marionette lines along the forehead, around the mouth and near the eyes. Most people who undergo Dysport treatments have lines or wrinkles that are moderate to severe and non-responsive to other types of cosmetic treatments.
Botox is injected directly into the muscle. Because Botox is made of a neurotoxin, it blocks signals between the muscle and the brain, ultimately preventing muscle contraction in a localized area. When the muscle relaxes, wrinkles smooth out and soften. Performed correctly, these injections only affect targeted muscles while still allowing for facial expression. Botox can be used for any type of wrinkle that has not been caused by sun damage or stretching of the skin due to gravity. Results are usually best on expression lines, such as those around the eyes and forehead.
